BLOG

The Beginning

My Bullet Journal of ‘18-’19

My Bullet Journal of ‘18-’19

This is the first blog entry of, hopefully, many. I don’t have anything specific I’d like to write about right now. I just told myself that I NEED to write this first one and get it done so I can continue forward.

“Done now is better than never.”

There’s a lot of things I need to learn how to change and fix, using the tools I have here. The rest of Square Space has generally been easy-to-use, so I expect this to work the same.

I’m really excited to start this blog though. I don’t know that the rest of my entries will have this stream-of-consciousness style. I hope I’ll have more organized and interesting entries. If you’re wondering what to expect, I do know that I would like to share my feelings and thoughts about my work. For example, I’d like to breakdown projects that I’ve done or plan to do the in the future. I think reflecting on things like that are a really good way to reinforce what I’m learning and also offer something interesting to anyone who is genuinely interested in something I’m doing.

I also want to journal about my life if I can. At the moment, I’m generally afraid or shy when it comes to writing or sharing things online. I feel self-conscious or afraid of being made fun of or anything like that. I stop myself from posting things sometimes just for those reasons. I think it sucks, but I dunno how to change that sometimes.

Whenever I look back at old things I write, I feel mortified and cringe at younger me. I think everyone is like that, but, man it sucks. I always believe that cycle never stops. When one looks back at their former self, they’ll usually find themselves embarrassed with some choices or traits that they used to have.

I’m also thrilled thinking about how my writing may improve as I continue to write. I don’t really write anything other than messages or captions now that I’m out of school. English was always my strongest subject—I’ll get back in-shape and get even better.

I don’t really know if there’s any specific kind of grammar or structure rules when it comes to blogging. I told myself I’d look at some other blogs to get ideas on how I can do things, but I only skimmed one really quickly. Joey Kaotyk has a cool blog, although he hasn’t updated it in a while. He has tons of pictures from his travels and has some journal type entries logging his experiences. I think that’s really cool and I want to do that too. That’s what I miss about vlogging: Being able to recount memories and experiences I’ve had. Sometimes it’s just too much to have the camera on all the time, and that’s why I stopped. Not to mention the tons of space the videos take on my HDD. I wish life had a clip system just like on Twitch. Then, I wouldn’t have to worry about missing moments if I didn’t have my camera out.

I hope this wasn’t too boring to read. I feel like I mess up on my writing sometimes. I’m really worried about using the same words and phrases over and over, and having repetitive sentence structure.

Anyway, I don’t know if I’ll add any pictures or video to this entry. I made the cover photo my Bullet Journal. It just seemed appropriate. I gotta go figure out if I need to change the font on this page or anything else. If you’ve read this far, leave a comment below! I feel kinda doubtful anyone will read these. This was honestly fun though.
